Dierks Bentley to Produce TV Show on Fox

Musician, artist, humanitarian, husband, dad--the titles for Dierks Bentley are endless, but there is a new one that can be added to the list: executive producer.

Though not confirmed by Dierks' team, the news took over the Internet Oct. 22 that Dierks' is slated to produce a new comedy show on Fox along with his manager, Mary Hilliard Harrington. We've learned they have teamed up with Jack Burditt, best known as the creator of the hit shows Last Man Standing and Modern Family.

The first to break the news, Variety said the show is "a single-camera comedy that has received a put pilot commitment at Fox. The untitled series is set in a Nashville bar, where singers and songwriters go to chase their dreams, or maybe just to fall in love if only for a night."

Sounds a bit familiar, no doubt, to Dierks, who got his start in country music in a very similar fashion--chasing his dreams on lower Broadway. It makes you wonder if there will be an opportunity to film some on location at Dierks' own bar in Nashville, Whiskey Row ... or even a personal appearance from The Dude himself?

There has been no word yet on when this show will air. But we have our tvs ready to go!

Dedicated Dierks Bentley Congress Member Dies

Anyone who ever experienced Dierks Bentley's Miles and Music For Kids charity event, probably met his number one fan--Laura Parrish.  She never missed seeing Dierks at Ricky Kelley's Harley Davidson of Columbia where Dierks would lead thousands of motorcycles on a trek to downtown Nashville, to then perform for thousands more.

That's where I met Laura and her husband Scotty.  They were the sweetest couple you will ever meet.  I knew every year I would see them waiting patiently for their turn to get a quick hug and photo with Dierks at the Harley dealership.

This was Laura's annual chance to personally deliver the gifts and "awards" she had hand-made for Dierks and his kids.  She always had a smile on her face and would beam with pride when she'd show me what she made.  "Do you think he'll like it?" she would ask, and of course I would reply, "I know he will since it came from you!"

But Dierks was never in a hurry when he saw Laura.  He spent quality time with her and showed so much gratitude and love for his number one fan.

A dedicated member of the DB Congress, Laura was very active on social media, consistently messaging and posting to us on Facebook and emailing Dierk's team, excitedly sharing the details of the gifts she created and was sending to Dierks for this holiday or that awards show--without fail.

But there won't be any more gifts or meet and greets for Laura.  Sadly, she died Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

Dierks and his manager, Mary posted the sad news on Instagram:

Our Sweet friend and Dierks' #1 fan Laura Parrish passed award today.  The intense love and devotion she gave all of us is like nothing I've ever experienced.  I feel so lucky to have been part of her joy.  Opening night of summer tour is dedicated to you!!  Rest peacefully, my friend.

My number 1 fan passed away the other day.  We were actually her biggest fans too.  Love you Laura Parrish!  Wish I could be at the service today in Columbia TN.

Dierks Bentley Peeps Nominated For CMA SRO Awards!

Two of Dierks Bentley's team members are nominated for the CMA Standing Room Only (SRO) Awards!

The SRO Awards were originally created by the CMA Board of Directors in 1990 to honor outstanding professional achievement within the touring industry.

Final ballots have been sent to the more than 11,000 CMA members to vote on who they want to honor as the best of the best in over a dozen categories, including Dierks' publicist, Mary Hilliard Harrington (The Green Room PR), who is up for Publicist of the Year, and Old Goldie's driver of a million miles, Ken Lyons (Coach/Truck Driver of the Year).

In March, Mary was honored as one of five inaugural "Rising Women on the Row" by MusicRow, in honor of her substantial contributions to the Nashville music industry.  She also represents Lady A, Jason Aldean, and Will Hoge to name a few.
