We Can Make It in Five! DBCONGRESS.COM Turns 5 today!

Happy 5-year anniversary, DB Congress!

Five years ago today, we launched dbcongress.com!  So much has happened since then!

We are 767 dedicated Representatives strong!  Five years ago we were just under 400--so we nearly doubled our promo power from all over the world!

Nearly half a million unique visitors viewed our 1,500+ blog posts!  Our Facebook and Twitter pages have gathered more than 4,000 followers!

All of this for one primary purpose:  Promote our president, Dierks Bentley, daily!

Your efforts have helped Dierks achieve number one songs, videos and albums.  And his Facebook page is well over 2 million and one million followers on Twitter!  Phenomenal!

Now we have an opportunity to make history for Dierks again with his new album, Riser, releasing February 25, 2014!  We're thinkin' one of the songs, "Five," (written by Dierks, Riser Producer Ross Copperman and Ryan Tyndell) is appropriate for our 5-year anniversary! It is available as a 90-second preview now on iTunes, along with all the Riser songs.

"Now you're 600 miles away and a 10 hour drive, but if you called me tonight, I can make it in five...you never cross my mind, yeah you stay there all the time."

Yep, we made it in five...years, and Dierks, you are always on our minds, and if you called us tonight, we'd be there in five!

Keep up the great work, congress! Keep requesting "I Hold On" and pre-order your Riser bundle today on dierks.com!  Tell all your friends!

*Special thanks to Stephanie Lanham, DBC Rep (MO), for creating and sharing all the great graphics over the last five years!  That's her DBC logo at the top, and check out the new blog header!  Cool, huh?  What are you thinkin', congress!  Leave a comment and join me in thanking Steph!

Happy 5th Anniversary, Dierks and Cassidy Bentley!

Dierks and Cassidy Bentley celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. They've known each other since middle school and rekindled their relationship February 5, 2005 on a tour bus in Vegas. Ten months later they eloped and got married in Mexico. Dierks even had a stylist friend pick out a Chloe dress for Cassidy as a surprise.

They currently live in Nashville with their two dogs, Jake and George, 2-year-old daughter, Evie, and are expecting another little girl around Christmas.

On Tuesday, Dierks tweeted he was in a writing session that day, so let's hope the couple got some special time together that night! Happy Anniversary Dierks and Cassidy! We love ya!

Happy 5 Year Opry Anniversary, Dierks!

Five years ago today, Dierks Bentley was inducted into The Grand Ole Opry! What a historical moment for him--and we all know how historical things make Dierks sing! In fact, he's performing the Opry tonight (October 1) to commemorate the occaision!

Not only that, but Dierks is hosting his very own Opry House backstage tour on Saturday morning, October 2. Tune in to the Opry's Facebook page at 10 a.m. for the video tour for fans around the world.

Want to know which of the newly-themed dressing rooms is his favorite? You’ll have to watch to find out! (Hint: the person who inspired this room would no doubt have flirted madly with him if she had caught him in her dressing room)

The special event is honoring "Spirt of Nashville Day," where the Opry will celebrate Nashville's spirit and resilience since the flood by inviting its hometown to get an up-close look at the newly renovated Opry House during a full day of free tours five months to the day following the flood.

There will be much to see, including a new artist entrance area, 18 uniquely-themed dressing rooms, and more, including the famed circle of wood center stage. The Nashville celebration will spill into the Opry Plaza with free music throughout the day, including a performance by hit-making new group The Band Perry.

Happy Opry Anniversary, Dierks! We hope to be celebrating in person at your 20th Opry anniverary!
