At our fan club Meet & Greet Thanksgiving weekend in Cherokee, NC, Dierks Bentley told us, "Except for the Super Bowl, we don't go back on tour until March." Until today, we weren't really sure what that meant.
Apparently, during Super Bowl weekend (Feb. 3-6), Bud Light is turning a Dallas, Texas hotel into "The Bud Light Hotel" and Dierks and Jack Ingram will be closing out the four days on Sunday afternoon of all genre artist performances in the parking lot, just before the big game. It will be known as 'Texas' Largest Tailgate' party.
Fans who are unable to make it to Dallas will be able to watch it live online here.
"My favorite sport to watch is football," Dierks tells CMT. "[I] love the Titans. Everyone in this band loves watching football. Mostly pro football, but we watch a little college football, too."

DIERKS, JACK SINGING BARBIE DOLL VIDEO 2010 ACM AWARDS
Dierks Bentley helps out Jack Ingram, singing Barbie Doll at the 2010 ACM Awards. I'm thinking Dierks was way too happy about being squeezed out of the limelight for about a minute when all the girls jumped on the stage! He finally makes his way back to the front with Jack. See for yourself:

DIERKS AND JACK REHEARSE 'BARBIE DOLL' FOR ACM AWARDS
Dierks Bentley and Jack Ingram will perform Jack's "Barbie Doll," on the 45th Academy of Country Music Awards tomorrow night. Jack Ingram: "I toured with Dierks...and saw him on the side of the stage, he knew the song, got it, he's seen the same chicks I've seen, he knows this girl. So I called him up to see if he was interested and he said, yeah." Check out the video below from rehearsal.

DIERKS TO SING ON 2010 ACM AWARDS

You remember Dierks, don't you Academy of Country Music? He was your 2003 Top New Artist of the Year and a 2005 Top Male Vocalist Nominee. Wow, that was five years ago and look at all the ground-breaking music he's created, performed and topped the charts with since then, with no acknowledgement from you! Really?
Dierks Quote of the Day:
"The music I have heard from Dierks Bentley's upcoming bluegrass album Up on the Ridge, is very impressive, and I suspect it may well prove to be a career landmark for him." ~Chet FlippoMaybe 2011 will be DB's year to be recognized by the ACM!
Now, some of you may recall that Dierks was scheduled to perform on the same day for the Dow Live Earth Run benefit in Minnesota. He's been replaced by Estelle, with a note that due to scheduling conflicts, Dierks Bentley will no longer be able to perform at the Dow Live Earth Run for Water event in Minneapolis.
Sorry, Minnesota! But a TV appearance will reach a wider audience, exposing Dierks Bentley's talent to millions in the comfort of their living rooms! Good move, Academy of Country Music. It could've been great, though! Just sayin'!
