First a Co-Host, Now a Nominee! Dierks Bentley Nominated for Two ACM Awards

For the first time ever, Dierks Bentley will co-host the ACM Awards with buddy Luke Bryan. But this isn't his first nomination.  In fact, he's been given the nod but not the win for Male Vocalist of the Year so many times over the last ten+ years, fans are referring to Dierks as the Susan Lucci of the awards shows.

Let's hope the hosting gig gives him good luck to break that spell!

Dierks is also nominated for Video of the Year for his heart-wrenching story of a homeless mom and her kids, "rising" above the adversity.

The 51st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards airs Sunday, April 3, 2016 on CBS at 8 pm Eastern.

Best of luck to our president--we know you'll do a great job co-hosting and thousands of fingers are crossed that the ACM members agreed with us and voted for you!  We can't wait to hear/see your acceptance speech!  Don't forget to mention your DB Congress!

Dierks Bentley Class Act at the 2012 CMA Awards

While his fans may be furious over yet another year of disappointment for their favorite artist, Dierks Bentley displayed nothing but class at last night's CMA Awards.  Nominated for three awards - Single and Song of the Year for "Home" and Album of the Year, Dierks took home no trophies.

Instead, he gave a killer performance of Tip It On Back and congratulated his friends who did win.

"had a blast. thought the #cmaawards rocked. especially happy for @LBTmusic. so deserved"

Little Big Town walked away with the Single ("Pontoon") and Vocal Group of the Year awards.  Song of the Year went to Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton for "Over You" and Album was awarded to Eric Church's "Chief."

Maybe someday the Country Music Association will recognize Dierks with a win!

For Your 2012 CMA Consideration.... Dierks Bentley!

It was a Monday and Dierks was headed to the studio: "...it's just a matter of taking the time now to make sure everything is totally right." That extra time he took was the right thing to do!  It resulted in a #1 album debut for "Home."

The release of Home also led to a performance at The White House, a partnership with Ellen Degeneres to donate $50,000 to a military family, a partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project, a plug from U2 front man himself, Bono, and five--count 'em--five categories to be considered for CMA nominations!

I think I can speak for all DB Congress members that we believe there's hope for you yet, Mr. President!  You deserve all five nominations and all five wins!  Too bad we can't vote on this one, 'congress!

Members of the CMA started voting in the second round of CMA nominations today through August 21 and the final ballot voting is October 4-22.

The 46th Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Brad Paisely and Carrie Underwood, will air on ABC on November 1, 2012 at 8 p.m. eastern.

WHAT WERE THEY THINKIN'? NO ACM NOMINATION FOR DIERKS?

Obviously, the Academy of Country Music was NOT thinking about all of Dierks Bentley's outstanding achievements in 2009.

What were they thinkin' when they didn't nominate Dierks Bentley for TOP MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR? Darius is great and he and DB are buds, but Dierks deserved that 5th spot.

What were they thinkin' when they didn't nominate Dierks Bentley's Feel That Fire for ALBUM OF THE YEAR? He stretched his vocals to new levels with FTF, debuting the album at #1, two number one singles (FTF and Sideways, one #2 single (I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes). Really? What's it gonna take?

What were they thinkin' when they didn't nominate Dierks Bentley for ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR? It's not like they had to stop at 5 nominees--there are 8--and it's fan voted. Bentley belts out his hits and bounces all over the stage every single night, engaging the crowd from front row to the rafters. He's like the energizer bunny--he's MY Entertainer of the Decade!

What were they thinkin' when they didn't nominate Dierks Bentley for SONG OF THE YEAR [Awarded to Composer(s)/Publisher(s)/Artist(s)]. Cowboy Cassanova? Really? Compared to the #1 Feel That Fire? Too bad Beautiful World wasn't released as a single--should have been Song of the Year.

What were they thinkin' when they didn't nominate Dierks Bentley and Patty Griffin's Beautiful World for VOCAL EVENT OF THE YEAR opting instead for Seeing Stars (Jack Ingram featuring Patty Griffin). No offense to Jack, but Beautiful World was so much more impactful and it was nominated for a Grammy!
