BOUNCING BACK "UP" TO #24

Dierks Bentley's latest single "Up on the Ridge" bounced back up to #24 this week on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. It saw audience growth to the tune of just over 1 million listeners, and is oh-so-close to catching up to or passing Alan Jackson's "Hard Hat and a Hammer" and Gary Allan's "Get Off on the Pain." This is very positive growth after the rough week it experienced when it was all but stalled on the charts.

Over on Mediabase, "Up on the Ridge" stayed at #26, but moved to #25 on Monday after the charts ran, so there is growth being experienced there, as well.

The good news is, the chart seems to have come back from its vacation, which means more songs are seeing growth, and there are some songs that have reached their peak and will be moving to recurrent status in the coming weeks, allowing for natural movement and progression of the songs currently moving up the charts. It's very possible we could be talking about a Top 20 hit in the coming weeks!

Make sure you keep requesting the song any way you can think of. Sign up for Rate the Music surveys and tell them you love the song and aren't tired of it. Vote on local countdown shows. "The Boot" called "Up on the Ridge" the #1 song of 2010 so far -- let's prove to country radio that they are right!

  2. Thanks for the update Carrie. In the above post I've sent Ronna all the stations that are playing UOTR. My list has 115 stations - I think she posted about 1/3 of them.
C'mon folks, voting on yes.com will move this song up as fast as anything else will. Just 10 minutes a day is all we need from each of you!! :)
